Coeur d'Alene Fire Station No. 2

The Coeur d’Alene Fire Station 2 project we completed for the Coeur d’Alene Fire Department was a resounding success. Our design was efficient, functional, and cost-effective, making it the perfect solution for the west side of Coeur d’Alene. We chose a metal building for ease of maintenance and raised the structure on a masonry base to prevent damage from vehicles and equipment.

As the population of Coeur d’Alene grew, so did the demands on the fire station. In 2007, we completed a 2,000 sf addition/remodel, which replaced the old sleeping quarters with a kitchen and an expanded day room. We added sleeping quarters above the new training and conference room on the second floor. We also included a 40 x 80-foot storage garage and a second training and conference room.

Our commitment to creating a reliable emergency response force extended beyond the station’s walls. We constructed the Fire Training Facility behind the station, which includes a five-story steel tower, an attached elevator shaft, and a two-story burn room with a basement. The facility also has an underground tunnel system where underground rescue scenarios can be practiced.

Our work on Fire Station 2 and the Fire Training Facility is a testament to our commitment to providing efficient, functional, and cost-effective solutions for our clients.
