The Coeur d’Alene Fire Department Headquarters and Administration building was designed with the surrounding residential neighborhood in mind. The City sought to maintain the same design characteristics as Station No. 3, No. 1, and later, No. 4. The stations all feature brick wainscoting, shingle siding, and composition shingle roofing. 

The headquarters building houses the department’s administrative offices, fire department library, conference room, and museum. The museum is a building highlight that citizens can preview as they cruise downtown from Third Street. Visitors can view historical firefighting equipment and photos documenting the history of the Coeur d’Alene Fire Department once inside. The antique La France fire engine behind the exterior windows adds to the museum’s appeal.
